Motion Studio

New Tool: Key Assist

Key Assist fills in missing keyframes as you animate. Tell Key Assist what layers and properties to “watch” and you can animate with peace of mind.

New Tool: Grids

Meet Grids, a new tool to add modern grid layouts to After Effects compositions. Add and combine rules like, Rule of Thirds, the Golden Ratio, or V Arrangement and find balance while animating.

Image to Color Palette

Generate color palettes from images with the new “Create Palette from File” button. Drop an image into the window, and Motion Studio will generate a range of color palettes. (Thanks Beau Brannon for the suggestion!)

Re-Key Improvements + Notes

The entire Re-Key system had an overhaul, with better logic and new systems like notes. Write helpful reminders, usage tips and custom text to understand Re-Keys at a glance, or export and share.

Duplicate Library Items

Duplicate any library item for a head start on a new Color, Ease, Re-key, or Mini palette.

Switch Active Mini in Motion Mini

Change your active Motion Mini with a new extension dropdown option. Switch through any of your Minis and stay focused in After Effects.

Design Cleanups

We also made general design improvements to improve the functionality across Motion Studio and make the interface cleaner.

 

Boombox Studio

In this Boombox Studio update, the first generation of automatic sound design appears. Set ranges for pan and volume and remix entire project audio in one-click. Stay tuned for the upcoming update with a one-of-a-kind timeline and media viewer! Shout out to LeftClot and QJ Studio for the awesome request.

Auto Mixing When Adding Sounds

When Boombox Studio syncs a sound to your timeline, audio files will auto-mix from your custom preferences. Customize volume, pan, and stretch-duration and Boombox Studio will ensure every SFX fits tight into the final mix.

Auto Mixing Controls on the Constellation Page

Auto mix is not limited to adding sounds. Select specific, or multiple sounds on the Constellation and Remix the volume, pan, and stretch settings in one-click.
