Smarter Re-Keys, Icons for Motion Mini, Boombox improvements, and more.
Re-Key Updates
In this update, we’ve pushed the Re-Key tool even further to support more advanced workflows:
-
Preserve Initial Values: When applying a Re-Key, you now have the option to preserve the layer's existing property values. Just run a Re-Key with the "Apply Initial" button.
-
Nested Properties & Effects: You can now Re-Key not just transform properties, but also nested properties and effects properties.
-
Add Animo Controller: Save time and effort with an option to automatically add an Animo Controller when applying a Re-Key. This makes it super easy to re-time an animation later.
-
Default Apply Relative: Applying a Re-Key will now run with relative data by default.
Icons for Motion Mini
To give you even more control, we've added over 24,000 vector icons to personalize your custom parameters. Next month, we'll introduce import and organization tools, making it easy to manage your own vector libraries.
Library Enhancements
For those times that you removed all of the library items, we have now added a Restore Defaults button. One click on the button and the default library is back.
Multi-Composition Controls
In response to user feedback, you can now set the size and duration of multiple compositions at once in After Effects—massively improving batch workflow management.
Boombox Studio
We're also giving Boombox Studio some love! This update includes some UI improvements, as well as the much-requested ability to configure how SFX are placed in your timeline:
-
For After Effects, we've added four options: beginning or end of your timeline, or above or below your selected layer
-
For Premiere Pro, you can now toggle the option to add SFX to targeted tracks, using the same first-available logic you're used to
