June 2025 Release
June 3, 2025

A refreshed UI, powerful automation, and more libraries.
Revamped UI + New Theme
We’ve given Motion Studio a complete visual refresh with a cleaner, more modern interface. From reorganized layouts to streamlined menus, everything is designed to reduce visual clutter and make navigation feel effortless. Combined with a fresh new theme, the app not only looks better but feels faster and more intuitive.
Dark & Light Mode
Whether you’re working in a bright studio or during a late-night edit session, you can toggle the interface to match your environment. Your preference is saved between sessions, so you stay comfortable and focused.
Native After Effects Commands in Motion Mini
Motion Mini just became exponentially more powerful. You can now execute almost 900 native After Effects commands directly as tools. This brings massive flexibility to your workflow, giving you access to deep AE functionality without needing to search for specific commands.
All-New Vector Library
We’ve added a huge new vector library, giving you access to over 24,000 high-quality vector assets. You can drag them straight into your projects or export them for use in any design software. The new interface includes powerful features like history tracking, categories, and favorites, so your most-used assets are always easy to find.
Smarter Library Organization with Folders
Organization is key when working at scale. Our updated library system now supports custom folders, allowing you to group assets however you like.
Automatically Add Active Camera to Focus Group
To keep your elements in the right perspective even when you are locked in to a Focus group, Motion now automatically adds the active camera to the Focus group. Thanks to Miika Turunen for submitting this feature request through our Futures board!
Custom Icons and Color for Re-Keys
You now have the ability to assign custom icons and colors to your Re-keys. This small addition helps you visually differentiate Re-keys at a glance.
Opacity on Illustrator Swatches
We’ve fixed a bug where Illustrator swatches wouldn’t correctly apply opacity settings.
