Over the last 10-months continuous new builds synced out to Motion Studio.

Every release attempted to balance overall UI & UX improvements and expanding tool scopes and capabilities.

Below are our favorite 2025 upgrades to Motion Studio and sneak peek at features on the way.

⩥ Motion Studio: The App
As a dev team, a major highlight was the launch of Motion Studio v1.0.0 in February 2025. This was the culmination of 12 years working on “Motion” from script, to extension, to standalone full-app. Motion Studio is the hub for more capable tools and broader systems to come.

⩥ Mini’s
Customization is a core focus in Motion Studio and the full-application helps build, manage and share complex libraries. For the lightweight ‘Mini’ extensions, Motion Studio helps build Mini’s of your favorite tools, libraries and system commands.

⩥ Re-Keys
The larger window dimensions of the Motion Studio app make custom libraries easy to manage. Re-Key is one of the new keyframe systems that uses Motion Studio in parallel to the extension. Unlike normal presets, Re-Keys have deep tool-like customization and flexible scaling and re-time abilities.

⩥ Switchboard
An upgraded multi-track editing system called Switchboard was the happy accident of 2025. The preview “alpha-build” started as an internal experiment to improve the Premiere Multicamera system... but showed potential to grow into a more capable multi-track editing workflow. Developments cooking for Switchboard: non-linear Scenes, Ripple Edits, Sub-Clips, a dockable extension and more.

⩥ Grids
Simple and flexible visual balance tool for Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere. Grids is a handy library of guide systems to toggle, customize and stack. 10+ new dynamic Grid systems and renaissance art theory on the way.

⩥ Key Assist
A “listener” tool for quick bulk animation where timing matters. Key Assist helps combine rough ideas and scenes of animation into polished shared easing curves. Upcoming tools in Motion Studio focus on being assistive or interactive, à la Key Assist.

⩥ Community Board
This year the members community board Futures opened for you and other users to help guide development. Every new build of Motion Studio includes a few of the top-voted requests from Futures. Some major additions from Futures are Key Clean, Copy Comp, and making Motion Video for Adobe Premiere.
